1. Neff H11WE60N0G Solo Review

Neff H11WE60N0G

If you’re looking for a straightforward built-in model, the Neff H11WE60N0G could be an option to consider. We like this model as it’s designed to be easy to use and takes a lot of hassle out of cooking – plus it looks great. It’s also easy to install in your kitchen and can be located in a separate cabinet, above the oven or within an existing cabinet.

It’s a left hinged model that uses a push button to open the door. This is common for integrated models, but is great for accessing the entire cavity (which can be difficult with downward opening doors.) It’s an 800W microwave, so it can cook food relatively quickly, and has a 20 litre capacity. While it’s excellent for cooking or reheating simple meals, the relatively small capacity means we don’t recommend it for large families.

One of the things we like about the H11WE60N0G is that it has an excellent build quality. You’d expect this, as it’s much more expensive than the typical freestanding solo microwave, but it has the feel and appearance of a high-quality product.

Other features include five microwave power levels, seven auto-cook programmes and a stainless steel exterior. There are modes for defrosting and reheating, including 4 automatic defrost programs for different types of food, and an LED display. If you’re wondering whether it’ll fit into your existing cabinet, the Neff H11WE60N0G’s dimensions are 38.2 x 59.4 x 31.7 cm (HxWxD).

The Neff H11WE60N0G built-in solo microwave is a simple model that doesn’t have any “wow” features. It does, however, cook food efficiently and has all the features you’d expect from a 20 litre model. Its small size means it’s not suitable for large families, but for couples or small quantities of food it’s great.

2. Neff C17MR02N0B Combination

Neff C17MR02N0B

If the previous solo microwave was a simple and understated model, the Neff C17MR02N0B combination is at the other end of the spectrum! With a huge capacity, ability to brown, crisp, roast and bake, and a variety of built-in programmes, this is an appliance that can prepare almost any meal.

Let’s start with the basics. This is a powerful machine with a 1000W microwave, built-in grill and fan-assisted convection oven (maximum temperature of 275 degrees Celsius.) It’s also an inverter microwave, which helps to decrease cooking time (by up to 10%) while reducing energy usage.

It has a huge 45 litre capacity, so it’s much closer to a regular convection oven than a standard microwave. This increases the dimensions of the machine, which are 45.5 x 59.6 x 54.8 cm (HxWxD), but means you can use it to cook large meals for the entire family. The C17MR02N0B is also a flatbed microwave, which means it doesn’t have a turntable. This allows you to use the entire cavity for cooking.

One thing to note about the C17MR02N0B is that it has a drop-down door. This is probably a good thing, as the large size would make a side-opening door unwieldy, but it’s not to everyone’s taste.

Other features include a plate warming feature, five microwave power levels, 14 automatic cooking menus, a digital display and a child lock. The C17MR02N0B also comes with a temperature display and cooling fan.

A downside to this Neff combination microwave is that it takes some time to get to grip with the various features. The control panel also takes some getting used to, but once you’ve learned how to use all the functions it’s quick to navigate through. We would have liked a quicker process to start cooking though.

The biggest drawback is the price. This isn’t a cheap microwave, so you need to be prepared to spend £750+ (at the time of writing). We still think it provides value for money though, as it’s an excellent appliance that comes with a range of useful features.

Overall, the Neff C17MR02N0B combination microwave is a great option if you’re looking for an appliance that can cook almost any type of food. It’s an expensive choice, but the powerful cooking combined with flatbed design and large capacity means it’s difficult to beat.

3. Neff H53W50N3GB Solo

Neff H53W50N3GB

If you’re looking for a small Neff integrated microwave that doesn’t cost as much as the company’s top-end models, the H53W50N3GB could be a good option. It’s a stylish model with an LED display, automatic cook menus and a stainless steel exterior.

The H53W50N3GB is a 17 litre built-in microwave with 800W power output. As you would expect from this specification, the model isn’t great for large families or if you want to cook food as quickly as possible. For one or two people, however, it’s fine for reheating and basic cooking.

Other features include seven automatic cook programs, five power levels, an LED display and stainless steel design. The upside to the small interior capacity is that it’s much less bulky than other Neff microwave ovens, with dimensions of 28 x 45.3 x 32 cm (HxWxD). If you’re tight on space, the H53W50N3GB could be a great option.

Like other Neff appliances, it’s well made and has a stylish appearance. You set the time using a dial below the display, which is much faster than the typical buttons found on most microwaves. The frame is made from plastic though, which is disappointing considering the price of the machine.

In summary, the Neff H53W50N3GB is a straightforward appliance that does a great job of cooking and reheating. It’s not an appliance for large families, due to its small capacity, but it’s fine for simple meals and can fit the average dinner plate.

4. Neff C17UR02N0B Solo

Neff C17UR02N0B

The other Neff solo microwaves on this list have been relatively small – 20L and 17L respectively. If you need a larger model the Neff C17UR02N0B is an option to consider – although it has a much higher price to match.

With its 36 litre capacity, the C17UR02N0B is bigger than almost any freestanding solo microwave. If you need to cook large meals for the entire family, you’ll have much more space than the average microwave. It’s also a 900W appliance, so it can cook faster than the 800W mentioned previously on this list.

Other features include seven auto-cook programmes to cook a variety of foods, five power levels and a drop down door. The display is bright and easy to see, while the stainless steel design is attractive and will complement almost any modern kitchen.

A minor downside is that the drop down door can partially restrict access to the deeper parts of the oven. While we can see why this type of door was used, a side opening door would have solved this problem.

If you need a powerful solo microwave with a large interior capacity, the Neff C17UR02N0B is an option to consider. It’s not cheap, but it cooks food quickly and quietly. The stylish modern design is an added bonus.

Summary of Neff Integrated Microwaves

In general, Neff produce some fantastic – if expensive – built-in microwaves that are especially suited to modern kitchens. Whether you need a large combination model or just a simple solo microwave, there is almost certainly a Neff model that meets your requirements.

The models above are just a small part of the Neff’s full range, but we think they are the best available at the moment. The right choice for you depends in your kitchen and what you plan on using the microwave for though.
